Silinrul padded through the streets of Loghouse, ‘Disgusting,’ the wolf thought to himself as he saw another dog, this time it was a rottweiler being strapped to the sled. And he was supposed to be doing that for god knows how long? The wolf snorted, absolutely disgusting. Of course, as you could probably glean from the virile’s attitude, Silinrul wasn’t exactly happy about being crammed in a crate for a couple of days and then being greeted by this human outpost. Dark grey tail flicked, showing the male’s agitation. He wondered how dogs could have ever sunken this low to actually help out humans. Had evolution really gone all that haywire? Brow furrowed, Silinrul’s thin lips turned into a frown. Icy eyes turned heavenward, how had he gotten here? What had he done to deserve this of all punishments? Once again, Silinrul padded onward down the street, his talons leaving indentations in the soft dirt, but unlike before, Silinrul continued on with an even heavier heart then before.

Even Silinrul, having never been known to be stupid nor brutish, did not know /why/ the humans had brought all of these dogs here. He had simply concluded that it might be some sort of punishment. But that conclusion was flawed in so many ways, and did not suit well with Silinrul. What he did not know was that the humans were driven to insanity by the one human trait that sticks out most. Greed. And it was what so many greedy people want to own in life that the dogs were here for. What is that you ask? Gold. Even when the dogs who manage to see the shining yellow rock and entranced by it’s sheen. You might think it even a drug, for addiction is the key here. Humans put so many resources into these digs they might lose everything, and the only thing they come out with is a little pebble of a nugget.

It was this human nature that baffled Silinrul, if it was just a yellow rock, why should it be worth anything. Yet people went crazy searching for it, they sometimes even died looking. Silinrul sighed and shook his slate grey head; he was just a dog in the humans’ eyes. He was just here to do their bidding. That was what disgusted the wolf furthermore. He was a British Columbian wolf god damnit! He wasn’t going to labor with these mutts in a million years. Silinrul spat on the ground, his upper lip curled, revealing his yellowing canines. Black paws sped up to push Silinrul forward at a brisk pace. A human past, Silinrul let forth a growl which then evolved into a bark. Jaws snapped shut, giving an aggressive snap. Hackles raised, icy blue eyes blazed with fury as Silinrul watched the human who was now walking quickly away from the rabid wolf.

As Silinrul slipped beneath the sun once more, his blackened fur glistened making him look much grander then just an ordinary sled dog. Eyes gazed out over the street, dogs moved back and forth, humans didn’t just walk but ran…everywhere, as if they were missing something important or their comrades were going to take away all the food if they didn’t get to their destination fast enough. Silinrul sat there, a lone wolf sitting on its haunches as the world moved past, too busy to notice just one figure.

Jewel, in all her beauty and anger, wondered the streets alone, for once in her young life. The she wolf dog trotted past the houses, past the humans, bored in her own mind while Master was at the place that smelt of bitches. Her slender body slinked along the snow, watching the humans strap their sled slaves to random machines. One of them turned to her and called her over. Strange, the creature knew her name. The female ignored him, not even taking notice of the pathetic creature. Only Master could call her into submission. Bugger any of the other idiots.

Jewel sighed and sat down to watch the dogs and humans rush around. What silliness, over a pretty little stone that any other dog would consider a excelent toilet. She wondered why the humans got excited about the ugly little rock, often disowning there own pack members because of it. They would exchange the rock for different dogs, or other uninteresting things. Jeez, Jewel thanked the fack that the only trhing that mutts like her had to worry about is mateing, eating, and running with the sled. Even if it was a dangerous place/life, full of potenially psycotic humans ready to beat the hell out of you, it was better then being excited by a pretty stone...

Funny, the way things turned out. She had a harsher life then the humans, but strangely, Jewel prefered it rather then to be erosed by random useless objects. That, in her mind, was just plain pathetic.

A lone wolf caught her eye when he growled at a human. Jewel sblack personed and decided to wonder over, just to amuse herself until Master was finished in the place full of females. Her pelt shimmered in the sunlight, silver rippling down her midnight black underfur( if that whats you could call it.) The strange coloration in her fur was wither caused by her huskey heritage, or the nasty scars that tatter her skin, ruining the stealth like beauty. But that didn't matter, what did was the cheeky grin that was plastered across her face.
